The Donald Romeo Community School is the brain child of Mr and Mrs Donald Romeo. It is located in rural Kenya in the western part of the country, in Kakamega County.
The school was founded to give poor children in rural Kenya an opportunity to get a Christian education while simultaneously taking the opportunity to evangelize to the community. The school is based on the Seventh Day Adventist faith and seeks to spread the word of God to the students and the community in which it is based.
The school has been performing very well in the National Examinations and enjoys considerable respect from the community, the surrounding schools, and the local officials of the Ministry of Education.
Whereas it continues to experience challenges in terms of resources, the Directors, the Board of Management, and the School management and staff continue to show a sense of commitment to the school that can only suggest that the good Lord is in control.
It is my pleasure in my capacity as the Chair of the Board of Management for the School to welcome you to this website.

Thank you for your interest and support of the Donald Romeo Community School (DRCS) project which forms part of Good Health Africa aims and objectives. DRCS is an ECD to grade 8, mixed school based in Kenya with a current enrollment of 276 students.
Our school motto is “In God we Excel” and students stretch their potential in a faith based respectful and friendly environment where all are taught the ten commandments and our values include respect for self and others, cleanliness, discipline, hard work and determination. Students take great pride in wearing their uniform ensuring that they look clean and attractive at all times.
DRCS is among the top performing schools in Kenya due to the combined effort of students and dedication of all staff who are disciplined, self-driven, hard-working and caring comprising fourteen teachers and sixteen support staff that work as a close-knit team. Curriculum offered is CRE, English, Kiswahili, Maths, Science, Social Studies.
Overall, students are developed as all round candidates with the ability to compete favourably as we also practice agriculture (planting maize, kales and bananas) and the keeping of animals. The school plays a vital role in supplying the villagers with clean water and agricultural produce.
This year (2019) our first candidate scored 400 marks out of 500 and joined a national school. The last candidate scored two hundred and seventy three marks out of 500.
Once again, thanks to everyone and may God continually be with all.
